Diana's Script

(LIVE ACTION) Welcome to team BEBTech! Congratulations, you’re about to join the 22nd century’s largest company. You have been assigned to the WATERMELON position. Before you begin you must learn the history of BEBTech.

(VOICE OVER) Less than a hundred years ago our planet was a very different place. The air in our atmosphere was polluted and un-breathable because of dirty energy sources. The excess green house gasses emitted from the old energy sources also thickened the atmosphere, trapping in sunrays and causing global climate change.
Despite public demand for clean energies, companies at the time had neither the motivation nor the science to achieve a solution. In 2032, Dr. Al Rapport and Robin Dean founded BEBTech with the mission to engineer a clean solution to our world’s energy demand. Dr. Rapport created BEBE®, a bacteria with the ability to use photosynthesis and CO2 to create sucrose. The sucrose BEBE® creates is then distilled into ethanol.
Today we have several BEBTech plants in every nation of the world producing the cheap, clean ethanol that now runs our world.

Safety Script

Hey there Scooter! You have just joined the BEBTech team! Congratulations! Before you can begin your position as ______________ , there are some safety precaution requirements you need to know about.

You are being provided goggles and a safety coat. You must wear all these items at all times while within a 25-mile radius of the plant.

Your position as ______________ requires you to _______________ our bacteria BEBE®. As you learned earlier, in 2032 Dr. Rapport genetically engineered bacteria to harness the power from the sun and make ethanol, the clean burning energy that efficiently runs our modern world®. No Scooter, you can’t drink that, that’s BEBE®. Ingesting BEBE® would be fatal because it’s bacteria.

Your position has special equipment to assist you with your task. Woah woah woah. Careful there. Those canisters are heavy. Your job as _________ means you are transporting pure ethanol, which is an extremely flammable liquid, and the plant is kept at 38.5 degrees Celsius, that’s 101.3 degrees Fahrenheit to you and me. BEBE® needs to be in a high temperatures and in constant light in order for the photosynthetic process to be successful.

No, no, no, we know it is hot, but you have to keep your safety gear on because the BEBTech plant is a feeding ground for outside bacteria. Even though our facility surfaces are sterilized, human skin has thousands of different microscopic bacteria on it at all times. If you expose those bacteria to the air inside the plant, they will run ramped all over, so keep those goggles on!

We know you will enjoy being a part of the BEBTech team, just remember to not have too much fun Scoot, your providing energy for the entire world!
